Hi Gators!

We are excited to see you on Monday! We hope you are ready to get in the water and have some fun!

A few updates:

Meets are now scheduled and ready For you to declare your swimmers. If your swimmers have some request for events you may make request for individual events. It is still up to the coaches whether or not your swimmer will actually swim in those requested events. We have many swimmers this year so most will swim in three events (including relays). In the past we have had swimmers swim up to four or five events. Of course if we have fewer swimmers at a specific meet then they may swim more than three events. 

Also the league is asking that we declare our swimmers early so that the coaches can submit our entries on time. Speaking from experience, it can be difficult to make last-minute changes to the computer entries. Some league teams may charge a late fee for late entries. So for Tuesday meets, the deadline to declare your swimmers will be the Friday (11 AM) prior to the meet. For Thursday meets, the deadline to declare your swimmers will be on the Monday (11 AM) prior to the meet.

To declare your swimmers, you must log in on the website and not on the app. The app is helpful at see your swimmers’ events once the entries, heats, and lane assignments have been finalized. Feel free to make individual event requests when you declare your swimmers as this can be helpful to the coaches. Ultimately, it will be up to the coaches to make the final decision. Job assignments are available for signups. Each family must sign up for 4 slots. If you are not attending any meets there are opportunities to volunteer in other ways. Even if you don’t plan on joining the meets, volunteering for a job or two will give you some perspective on how meets are run for future years. See the job descriptions under the “meet info” tab to better understand the jobs.

Picture Day is June 16 @9am. Please RSVP just your swimmers by Friday, 6/10 so that the photographer can plan for team pictures. We will need volunteers for Picture Day..

Remember to buy a white gator shirt or bring a plain white cotton shirt for our tie-dye session on Tuesday, June 29.

Remember to bring your registration fee, volunteer check, and for each swimmer, a signed Concussion info sheet and Lindsay’s Law sheet to the first day of practice.
